cheaters can add time to their clock

I'll respect protocols of our forum and not mention specific users. Recent blitz games of mine, a few users have an extension or some other tech whereby they can add time to their clock, tends to be last 30" of the game. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you.
If you're seeing the time on your opponents clock increase, it's possible your connection is a little dodgy. occasionally there's a situation where your browser doesn't show that your opponent moved, so on your browser, you see your opponents clock ticking down. but the game clock runs on the server and it's ticking down your time.

There is a thing called lag switching, but I thought it stops some time from being subtracted rather than added extra time.

Thank you for sharing with me. I can elaborate more details. What I typically see is in last 30 to 60 seconds remaining, opponent's clock shows 0.5 to 2.0 remaining, I move, opponent's clock is now on 2.0, I move, opponent's clock is on 2.0. This will go on for several moves. My time appears to run down normally, however with each opponent's move their clock stays on 2.0.

Today, I don't know what happened in this game, but opponent's clock was on 1.0. They moved, I moved, opponent's clock went to 9.0!!

I'm extremely frustrated.

What I mention above, is only 5% of my total blitz games, I hate it nevertheless.

The issue that I raised, as I stated, is blitz games. I don't see blitz games represented in your lichess games.

Well cheating on adding time is not really even possible. let alone a scale you are seeing it. The only explanation is that you internet connection is shaky. It happens a lot. Be in piece : no one is cheating you with the clock
