I just played this game where my opponent blundered his rook (It was clearly a mouse slip), and they immediately offered a draw. They didn't have takebacks enabled so they weren't able to request a takeback. They then started trash-talking in the chat, and they said that they would have given me a draw if I had mouse slipped and blunder a piece.
There should be one thing that is clear. Mouseslips are entirely preventable if you turn on move confirmation, especially since this is rapid time control. Also, I doubt that he would have let me off with a draw if I was the one that mouse slipped (given that he has takebacks turned off).
I was playing white in the game. Here is the move:

people will trash talk for literally any reason. They're just salty and don't know how to regulate their emotions.

Trust me, take it from someone whose takebacks is off, he definitely wouldn't agree to a draw, if the reverse had been the case.
He most likely would still have used that as an excuse to trash talk.
Mouseslips are a part of the game. It is left to an individual to perfect his mouse movements.

Oh! I totally just noticed that he's a much higher rated player to you. That further explains the pains of a loss.
He was also on a streak, until he played you.
Too many pains causing factors.
Mdrrr.

Not everyone has a good working mouse. Some people have to play on a trackpad (which is terrible when trying to click the right square under time pressure).
