I would always vote Classical, though I struggle to find time for it (and sometimes even opponents) and end up playing more Blitz by a huge margin both in terms of volume of games & time spent playing.

I think that classical and rapid allow us to think slower, thus training our intuition. Blitz and bullet rely heavily on intuition. It would make sense then that in order to improve in blitz / bullet, one ought to play more slow chess (to build up that intuition that you can then use in fast chess).

As far as which is more fun? To each their own. I like rapid / classical a lot more than blitz / bullet - mostly because I like being able to think about the position and not being rushed. I find that my enjoyment of chess increases substantially when I play slower time controls. That being said, in adult life - it’s sometimes very hard to find time to sit down and play a long game of chess, hence why I have so many blitz games played on my profile.

@WildTreeNymph how about a blog on puzzle streak vs puzzle storm? I find both addicting and fun (and also puzzle racer) depending on my mood. I haven't played a lot of puzzle streak, but it's probably the most fun for me when I think about it? Just a suggestion, hope you don't mind the ping...
