You can open stubborn jars using rubber bands. stretch it on the lid and apply force to open. Somehow helps to make grip

Sacrifice a knife and slide it between the lid and the jar. Rotate slowly whilst prying upwards. You can feel the pressure release then just twist lid off.

No, the OP has found the solution to her problem. Every time she needs to open a stubborn pickle jar, all she has to do is wait two weeks until a certain person shows up to open it for her. ;-)

That's alright then, otherwise it has likely been a rather long and exhausting two weeks, of course I wasn't trying to Jar anybody by bringing the pickles plight up again. :). lol
