IM Igor Ivanov "he used to say ... can i show u my win vs Karpov

A genuine good guy. I've seen him a couple of times just hanging out and playing blitz with patzers at the Montreal Chess club. And passing the vodka around, in a brown paper bag.

Incidentally, as I mention every chance I get, Ivanov's record against Karpov was 1-0. My record against Ivanov is 1-0*. So, logic says I'm better than Karpov.

Unique chess players are the chess vedettes that place guards in positions beyond an outpost. It creates reactions that are worth observing.
