What would be worse then NOT having a GF?

@hcp_pro Please quote where I ever attempted to be a "saviour" of the types of people I named or derail the subject towards them.

Let me quote #9 (emphasis added in this time):
"Not trying to be overly negative here, but you really could have worded that title better..." Notice I make it clear I am not trying to derail the topic. Also notice I am not the only person in this thread that touches on the title.

Could I have just said toxic people? Yeah. But then again, I also don't really stop to consider 24/7 the many different factors that could lead to a misunderstanding. To call me an attention seeker is a reach, don't ya think? ̄\\\_(ツ)\_/ ̄

You're not even wrong, I read the title and was like, uh, lots of things are worse than this.

But then I'm a bit tired of this stream of children here who post trying to get relationship advice. Like...we're not your IRL friends or your parents. Go try to talk to them. Or just...like...try to not act like a basement dweller. Remember that people of the gender you're interested in are ALSO PEOPLE and probably not as difficult to talk to as you're assuming. Yes. I know it can be hard and you probably forget how to form a coherent sentence in your native language when you see someone you like-like, but the lichess forums don't seem like the best place for advice like this.

so you talking that i should not be asking this sorta thing?

am i right?

No, more just noting that it feels like there's about a zillion threads from teenagers on here, any given day, about how they can't get a date and like...Lichess does not seem like the ideal place for getting advice on this. It's not necessarily just you, it's that there seems to be an influx of teenagers posting in off topic about their lack of a love life woes.

Let's end this forum here shall we? @Tomorrow_Never_Knows ?

You're taking this far more personally than I intended. I was not insulting you or making some kind of a statement about you as a human being.

It was never directed at you personally. It was an observation about the existence of multiple threads and I'm likely far from the only one to have noticed this broader pattern of threads in the off topic forum.

Yes, drop it. Honestly you could've just read my reply and not responded immediately.

yeah but I don't want other people judge me and makes them uncomfortable to read my forum ;]

also I fell like it was a bad thing to not reply others back after I read what they say/opinion. Bye!

so you talking that i should not be asking this sorta thing?

It's just not the wisest thing to ask Internet strangers for relationship advice, especially when most people here have not even dated, and the same threads have been made over and over. That said, if you genuinely want advice and aren't just venting...I would be happy to give it.

Are you asking for my photo? Do you want my phone number too? Forget it, I'm already married
