This is hard to swallow, but I believe it is valid advice: Don't worry about getting a gf (or bf or signif other or major squeeze or whatever). It ain't worth the heartache. Focus on your own personal growth, try to become your own best you. The gf/bf/whatever will come along eventually. Trust me; if there's one thing nature abhors more than a vacuum, it's an incomplete narrative.
Which isn't to say that all narratives are well written in the stars. They certainly aren't. They are constantly miswritten by foolish gods and more foolish mortals who mistake now for eternity. Which leads me to the quick and dirty answer to the OP: What's worse than not having a gf (or bf or whatever) is being in a toxic, mutually destructive relationship, one that cries for getting out fast.
so loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong man... but feel nice to read! thanks for sharing!
btw im a boy..

no point of saying anything to attention seekers, imitating as activists ;-;
Lichess said you pinged me and I can't find it so I'm assuming it's this.
The title says "What could be worse than NOT having a gf?" so I answered the question. I...really don't see what the problem is here.

Lichess said you pinged me and I can't find it so I'm assuming it's this.
The title says "*What could be worse* than NOT having a gf?" so I answered the question. I...really don't see what the problem is here.

no need to overcomplicate stuffs, OP looks like a kid, and you're randomly blasting in heavy words..
i deleted my original post coz it was unnecessary explaining, since you keep behaving like some saviour, or someone running a whole continent..
A better reply would be, having toxic people around you would be worse than not having a gf.

@hcp_pro Please quote where I ever attempted to be a "saviour" of the types of people I named or derail the subject towards them.
Let me quote #9 (emphasis added in this time):
"Not trying to be overly negative here, but you really could have worded that title better..." Notice I make it clear I am not trying to derail the topic. Also notice I am not the only person in this thread that touches on the title.
Could I have just said toxic people? Yeah. But then again, I also don't really stop to consider 24/7 the many different factors that could lead to a misunderstanding. To call me an attention seeker is a reach, don't ya think? ̄\\\_(ツ)\_/ ̄
Also, I'm legit curious what you mean by me behaving like I'm running a whole continent...? Genuine question here...

You're not even wrong, I read the title and was like, uh, lots of things are worse than this.
But then I'm a bit tired of this stream of children here who post trying to get relationship advice. Like...we're not your IRL friends or your parents. Go try to talk to them. Or just...like...try to not act like a basement dweller. Remember that people of the gender you're interested in are ALSO PEOPLE and probably not as difficult to talk to as you're assuming. Yes. I know it can be hard and you probably forget how to form a coherent sentence in your native language when you see someone you like-like, but the lichess forums don't seem like the best place for advice like this.
