yes. He is my friend and a very strong player.
I know him personally and played him in person many times for 3 years. He is at the master level. It is just he participate only in 2 otb fide (rating 1890) tournaments many years ago, but he has a huge potential. I don t believe he cheated or was rude with anyone.
@ChessPath, if you know him personally, just ask him in real life then.
He told me he see no reason for this. In fact I am waiting a response, also him, from the Lichess staff.
How old are you
99% chance he violated Lichess policy in some capacity. Lichess will likely not respond to your inquiry however they may clarify to your friend why they marked the account which they likely already did when they marked the account. I’m not sure they close accounts, likely your friend did that after being marked for violating the ToS, but I’m not definite on that.
