Eating dogs is horrid.

Get to know a dog. Dogs have individual personalities. Like people do. They even have a sense of humor.

Dogs have emotions. They calculate. They make brief plans. They mourn when they lose an owner. They are NOT vegetables.

I am disgusted by the eating of dogs. No, make that Disgusted. With a capital D.

I believe it's creepy for people to think and act like dogs are just a "thing" -- like a shovel or a sandal or a hat.

Every time I hear of somebody shrugging off the eating of a dog, I want to buy tofu.

I've known cows. And I'm not wild about eating those, either -- but eating dog or horse is ten times worse. Dogs and horses are highly sentient, emotional, social creatures. Most tend to trust people unless they're abused.

Which should never happen among civilized people, in my dog-sympathetic opinion. "Culture" is not, in my view, remotely an excuse. I wouldn't have approved of burning "witches", either, no matter how culturally appropriate it might once have seemed to some.

It's 2025 -- but sometimes it feels like 500 BC.

Ok I wanna make that clear cause a moderator deleted it seeing it as racism as well probably: I was joking about a cliche of China. I don‘t think we have to discuss about the fact that cliches are NOT the case or at least not for everyone. Even if we would talk about this as a serious meant sentence this doesn’t seem like a real problem to me. Everyone can eat what they want and there’s no problem with different cultures even if they seem weird to people with another culture. In my opinion this has NOTHING to do with racism but of course I accept the moderators decision.
