Why is denying the Bucha massacre allowed on lichess? Do mods also allow holocaust denial?

This is a genuine question to lichess mods.

The modding makes no sense to me.

1. Why do you allow users denying the Bucha massacre? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucha_massacre

(I know they do, because when I report denial of the Bucha massacre nothing happens.)

2. Since you obviously allow denial opf Bucha massacre, my second quesion is if holocaust denial is allowed? It if it not allowed, then why since denying the Bucha massacre is allowed?

A French high court ruled Holocaust genocide denial is a crime deemed different in nature than other crimes against humanity .

I know you posed the question to the mods however this is a point of information I believe is relevant to your question in that it may be illegal for lichess not to take action against holocaust deniers.

Doesn't this just eventually fall into the paradox of tolerance? As moderators encounter more and more outrageous posts that they do not take action upon, they could slowly become desensitized.

Yes. That's well put. They are deliberately difficult to moderate on purpose, putting effort into wasting the time of moderators. What they are looking for is an opportunity to play their "victim of intolerance" card, where they can say they were banned by "pure intolerance", but only because the moderators didn't understand them and interpreted their statements as intolerance, "even though they were only asking questions" and so on. It's your typical bad faith conversation tree.
