I like both lichess and chess.com, although I prefer lichess (mostly because it is completely open source)

@Monsterchip chess.com never bans player for paying money. I have been playing on that site for three years and they never ban me. What I like about it is that chess.com has a group of people catching cheaters and they are able to use the money to improve their site. As I have said before, you post an argument about lichess and chess.com on this site, people are going to agree that lichess is better. The only way to be fair is to post in a public forum (One that's neither on chess.com or lichess), because people from both sites are able to chat and share their opinion, which would make it more objective. So I think rather than posting here, on lichess, to ask this question, post on the web and see what responses you got.
PS: it's illegal for the site to ban you for no reason after you paid them, so you can actually report to a person and send request for the refund. But if you can't get the refund, it's mainly because you have done something wrong. If you're sure you haven't, send an appeal, if the site isn't willing to refund for no reason, report them to google and google will check if they're being legit or not. If not, the site will be fined and get other punishments that might eventually lead the site to be banned. The fact that the site isn't banned shows that you have no prove that chess.com close people's account after they pay their membership for no reason.
