I think French is very hard to learn because you have to speak all these é and aux and all these difficult „letters“. But: well, I can‘t tell that really, because I‘m German myself, German is much more difficult. You have article, stress, tense, case and all these very complicated grammatical things.
I don‘t really hate a language, but I don‘t like languages with different letters than I know, because it‘s very hard to understand and learn them and it‘s just not my favourite thing.
I love English and Spanish, although I don‘t speak Spanish xD, but I also like Italian and Norway.

I don't like Spanish (bad experience in school), I love French and English, Latin is classic, but I might want to dabble into some non romance languages. From English, maybe Japanese or some kind of Arabic is the hardest.

I tried to learn a bit of the Czech language for a while but approximately 37 different kinds of quite similar seeming hissing sounds or sibilants confused the hell out of me :)

Although my native language is Chinese, I personally think Chinese is the most difficult. The same syllable, with only four tones, can correspond to a large number of characters (for example: 石室诗士施氏,嗜狮,誓食十狮 - Scholar Shi of the Stone Room, who loved lions, vowed to eat ten lions). More importantly, the classifier system in Chinese, as well as the distinction among the three 'de' (的, 地, 得), greatly increases the difficulty of learning Chinese.
Try this:
石室诗士施氏,嗜狮,誓食十狮。施氏时时适市视狮。十时,适十狮适市。是时,适施氏适市。施氏视是十狮,恃矢势,使是十狮逝世。氏拾是十狮尸,适石室。石室湿,氏使侍拭石室。石室拭,施氏始试食是十狮尸。食时,始识是十狮尸,实十石狮尸。试释是事。
But what if we write it in Pinyin?
shí shì shī shì shī shì, shì shī, shì shí shí shī。 shī shì shí shí shì shì shì shī。 shí shí, shì shí shī shì shì。 shì shí, shì shī shì shì shì。 shī shì shì shì shí shī, shì shǐ shì, shǐ shì shí shī shì shì。 shì shí shì shí shī shī, shì shí shì。 shí shì shī, shì shǐ shì shì shí shì。 shí shì shì, shī shì shǐ shì shí shì shí shī shī。 shí shí, shǐ shí shì shí shī shī, shí shí shí shī shī。 shì shì shì shì。
