I suggest looking up the titles of books needed for a physic's classes in college. Then look up where to buy it and search for the previous addition. Many of the "out-of-date" books can be bought extremely cheaply and there is nothing wrong with the content. Colleges are known for "updating" their books just by rearranging chapters so students have to buy the new edition for maximum price and can't get a good buyback price for used books... It is a whole money scheme. Also, try your local library for titles this way... Where I was from, library book sales were monthly and I often got textbooks cheaply for my sons to explore.
Good luck

Well, I live in India, here we don't have any library at all. Nor, do we have a school library with the books children might need. I can obviously buy it online but if someone could provide me a pdf that would have helped. @Letpchess
@I_invented_google thanks for the site seems like some helpful content out there. (just if there wasn't a language barrier, preventing me from reaping the benefits)
Thank you.
Well I found this book https://irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/721e955d/files/uploaded/Physics-Olympiad-Basic-To-Advanced-Exercises.pdf . A book from Japan, in English. Seems pretty good but the theory seems a bit rushed.

This is an excellent book. When I was studying for the International Olympiad decades ago there were no books like this at all just a few anthologies of previous olympiad questions.
Having said this, Olympiad questions are designed to be as different as possible to previous questions to limit the amount of practice that you can do, so I generally recommend to do what I did. Look at all the possible areas and make up your own questions and if you cannot solve them ask your Physics teacher. It makes you much better at the Olypiad questions when you come to the exam
Olympiads are trying to test creativity and understanding of basic Physics concepts from an advanced standpoint so preparing with past questions is not as effective as say university exam preparation would be.
Good luck;

Understood. I don't have a book for you, but I would suggest you look into Open Universities where professors post their class materials for free after they have taught them. You won't get credit for their courses, but all their materials are free... Off the top of my head I know that MIT and Yale University does this. Also, Khan Academy is another great free place to learn without a book. Best wishes!

Which Olympiad?SOF/NTSE/Any other.I would recommend studying the CBSE books since the exams are based on that. There are also online portals set up by the Olympiad boards for questions along with a synopsis.Or are you giving the International Olympiad?
SOF Olympiad Trainer
https://www.sofolympiadtrainer.com
SOF Olympiad Trainer: The Official SOF Olympiad Exam Preparation Portal.
Indian Talent Olympiad
https://www.indiantalent.org › olym...
Olympiad Login
These are from NTSE and SOF.You will have to pay but if you did well in their previous exams you don't.

I was assuming that he was looking to to the International Physics Olympiad. For anything below that, I think there are many different books that work. However, I noticed he never actually mentioned the specific one. My fault for making the assumption:(
