A simple way to burn a door:

Use a rocket to fly to an altitude of around 50 km. Take the door with you.
Throw the door at Mach 3 towards the ground.
Friction with the air will cause the door to burn up.
You will be safe because your rocket can slow you down enough to not experience heating.
While approching the ground, open the parachute to safely land.
