I am moving abroad and I will be 3 months without wifi, only with my phone data.
I would like to know how much data does a 10+0 or 30+0 game uses, so I can spend my phone data accordingly.
In terms of data generated by games it is just some kilobytes, but I believe that keeping the lichess app open and online receiving and sending data will consume way more than some kb, maybe some dozen megabytes.
Does this comsuption change depending on how long the game lasts?
I just want this info to accurately tell how many connected chess games I can use on my phone to control my data plan.
Thanks.

15 gigabytes a month should cover 1 hour or one and half hour of chessgame a day,So abaut 40-50 gigabytes for 3 months

Nothing remotely near that
- a light weight app like lichess, because its not loading a bunch of unnecessary ads & crap like chess.com - probably uses for most modern intents and purposes, almost no data.

i would calculate with 600 kb for a cold load of the lichess website and 200 kb per game if i dont have better numbers.
you will probably be able to play 1000s of games within 1 gb.
as long as you dont do video on your phone you will probably be fine.

Well i used a whole lot of spotify though, being in holiday i was listening to music whole day,so if you play only chess,i think 10 gigabyte a month will cover

I mean, probably the file size of everything is low (some kbytes), but the fact that you are constant sending and receiving data to the server... I believe the longer the game last, the higher the data usage right? 3+0 must consume less data than a 30+0 game.
