Coronavirus

Are you saying it is not serious because so far most deaths have been older people?
No its just that u can’t say it’s that bad, they could’ve easily died from old age
They could have got run over by a bus, too. You specifically made mitigation by emphasising the age factor. This is invalid.
It is a stunning fact that China has a top-security biolab in guess which province...the only one of it's kind in all of China. 20 miles away is a major seafood retail/wholesale market.Look at the number of infections and deaths in that province compared to the whole rest of the world.
It becomes blindingly obvious why China built a 10,000 bed hospital in that province in a week...before the rest of the world knew about this seemingly-artificial virus.
I'm always hesitant to accept disease statistics, especially for newly classified diseases.
Consider the portion of infected people who:
-do not go to a hospital or see a doctor
-are misdiagnosed as having a certain disease, when in reality they do not
-are misdiagnosed as not having the disease, when in reality they do

Naturally, these occur more with some diseases than others (I would guess it is more likely for someone exhibiting signs of Anthrax to go to a hospital than someone with a common rhinovirus), but the truth is that diseases vary in severity and symptoms on a case-by-case basis, and we therefore can't accurately calculate the mortality rate of a virus.
