Are Lichess Moderators Now Closing Comparisons between Lichess and other Chess websites?

They are doing it , In another thread where someone invited everyone to their new site chess.org the thread was deleted

@Harsh1234qwerty.
You mean that thread was closed for no reason?
That thread was most-likely deleted because it was advertising chess.org.

ok so lets put ourselves in a moderators shoes , unpaid ,they do a task often thankless by the many of us
daily what do they see , my site is better than your site , this childish refrain never seems to go away as it keeps popping up time and time again , what would you do ? id be straight onto the site founders and ask could these comparison threads be allowed to be deleted as soon as the moderator sees them so they can get on with other more important tasks?
so now youve worn their shoes if only for the time it takes to read this post and got a glimpse of what they have to put up with
stop making these threads , its a cyclic argument that has no answer

@fa18hornet Basically mods can do whatever they want for no reason and there isn't a thing you can do about it because Lichess is free and awesome and don't answer to anyone.

If some mod doesn't like the look of my Facebook page or I messaged their girlfriend, they can shadow ban me and I have to suck that up. It doesn't matter if its just or fair or part of vague rules, because again, it's free.

However, I personally detest censorship in any form because I believe that putting something out in the light of day is the best disinfectant, and censorship just hides peoples true feelings and makes it harder to identify dangerous people.

But I'm not a mod, so nobody cares what I think, or hurting my feelings.

I can entertain all sorts of crazy ideas that are not part of my personal belief systems, many can't.

The whole argument about which site is better to play chess is interesting and yet redundant ad nauseam and in my opinion should be in the FAQ in a comprehensive submission under the category of, "envy and ratings porn."

can you imagine how bombarded a dogs sense of smell would be if it didn't ignore some smells whilst focusing on others
i mention this as an antidote to being bombarded with lichess vs chess.com threads ,
just focus on the threads you want to look at , sure a random lichess vs chess.com will likely turn up , but cut down on the horseplay by not clicking on threads that mention lichess vs chess.com in the title
