Are Lichess Moderators Now Closing Comparisons between Lichess and other Chess websites?

Lichess Moderators took swift action and closed the latest post that compared Lichess with its counterpart, Chess.com. This is a victory for the posts' critics, who claim that the posts are repetitive and their results are meaningless.

However, a question I and other people are probably wondering is:
Is this indicative that future posts comparing Lichess with other Chess websites will also be closed promptly as well?

I don't think there is anything wrong with mods closing these overrepetitive topics

@HorseyIsBest I'm happy that they are! I'm just curious to know if this is a future trend.

@fa18hornet
Mods should close any topic that is against the forum etiquette in a severe way.
What I mean by this is like, if someone doesn't have a descriptive title(this rule is negligible anyway) mods won't close it but if it's a topic like lichess vs chess.com then mods should close it
Mods can close it for other reasons as well not solely in Forum etiquette
So I don't think this is a trend, this is what mods should do

@HorseyIsBest It's only novel because they haven't closed them before in the past, so if this is a trend, then it would be a change. A good change tho.

Thank God now fa18hornet can't create ''blah blah vs lichess'' anymore.
Other comparisons are still OK: Chocolate cake vs Vanilla cake, Meatballs vs Lasagna...

@fa18hornet Lichess moderators are not restricting our free speech in any way. They just don't want repetitive forums clogging up the forum space that is normally there for good forums. Also, moderators have done stuff like this before (eg. the forums that tried to go as long as they could)

The last post that was closed as far as I can see did not breach any of the forum etiquette guidelines if you think it did then please explain what specific part you think it breached. What I have seen time and time again is the mods don't follow any kind of rule-based guidelines when they take action, they simply follow a mob mentality. I am not arguing in any way that we need lichess vs chess.com comparison threads but this is indicative of how they work. Posters and posts that are 'popular' are allowed to stay even if they involve outright bullying, stupidity, and bad behavior whereas posts like this last one that are quite innocuous but highly downvoted for being 'annoying' are removed. That is the point that I was proving. @fa18hornet @HorseyIsBest. In other words, this forum is a cesspool of base human behavior when it could be so much better.

@Percipient_Plutocrat
Your chess.com vs lichess counts as spam, as there are thousands of this topic already. If you don't believe me do a forum search.
Also if you think the forum is a cesspool, why don't you make it better instead of turning it worse?

@HorseyIsBest Under the spam section of etiquette I can't see any rule that specifically states you can't create a topic similar to one that has been posted before, otherwise all the new "memes" and "do you like chocolate?" posts would have to be closed as well, and BTW I've tried to create an interesting topic before but it got flooded with idiotic, abusive posters which the mods did nothing about.
