You guys need to fix your pairing algorithm in the quick pairing. I am trying to get equal amounts of black and white the best I can, and I have been getting like 5 whites in a row even when I abort to try to get another color. I know this won't do anything because the little things never get addressed, but this is kind of important to me. So I am saying it now. It can't POSSIBLY be that hard to fix. I have seen this done in other servers. I have literally only had this issue here. And I prefer here for many reasons. I just hope it gets addressed.

Do NOT abort. Lichess is smart enough to not give you your desired color if you abort.

You've played 52 games as white and 52 games as black in the past day.
Humans are bad at this kind of thing. I don't really understand the paper, but it might be a good place to learn more https://eric.ed.gov/?id=EJ1056051
Experiments 1 and 2 showed that the low accuracy in judging whether a sequence of coin flips is random (or biased toward heads or tails) is due to the weak evidence provided by random sequences.

In total you have 10k white games out of 23k total games. It seems pretty normal that the system keeps giving you whites so that it can balance.

#1 If there's a bug (I don't know if there is or not), someone needs to file an issue https://github.com/ornicar/lila/issues

You have almost the exact same number of white bullet games (the format you have been playing the most recently) as black bullet games. I think you've imagined the problem.

hahaha you guys are seriously trying to count colors on my games? last night I forced like 20-30 blacks so I can get in the practice with black because it kept pairing me white. I wouldn't even mind if the system simply had an option to flip to only pair one color for a while for the sake of speed.
I don't know if it's a bug @Toadofsky problem with bugs is you have to have them repeatable. And I can't guarantee repeat of results. It's more of an annoyance and having a feature to simply correct it without having to set it up by hand every time would be nice maybe. The annoyance to me is similar to my irritation with the system telling me I am warned for thinking too much and forgetting about time.
@Cedur216 I don't abort without a reason. I was testing to see if it would reset the flip. Thanks for the non-real input.

Usually when you test things you don't have control over it ends badly.

@Deadban Well I am a good boy. Thanks for your unnecessary concern. I prefaced this post with a notice that I am sure the people that have the power will ignore it. As is the case I am mostly venting. I don't really care about the negative replies. However it is a little humorous that people tried counting my games assuming I always click the rematch or auto pair buttons. When you get 5-10 in a row one color it gets annoying. I can care less about the system wanting to balance itself out. It's 100 million times more important to me that it gives me alternating colors regardless of it's own system or my passed games. If I am white and I click find new opponent it should swap colors. If I click the quick pair button it can sort out my color problem in the system then with a random color.. since I mostly click find new opponent, it will balance me out if it does it my way. And again.. That is all that matters. The whole point of playing in these sites is to get practice and the people that have power can take it as a feature request. But again.. I expect them to ignore this.

Lichess tries to be fair.
Chess is a two-player game. When you refuse to play as one color, you are forcing that color on someone else. I understand that you care about the fairness of your current experience, irrespective of your past actions. And I understand that you as a user are a small drop in the pool. So everyone else can collectively share the burden of balancing your color imbalance, and it isn't a big deal. But not everyone can do what you do. Not everyone can have the freedom to briefly force colors with no consequences. If everyone tried, Lichess wouldn't be able to pair players.
So only a few people can have what you are asking for. If you want to be one of those few, why should you get it instead of someone else? What makes you special?
I'm sorry if that came across too strongly. The system needs to be resistant against malicious color manipulation, and as a result, it also prevents casual color imbalances. And that can make things seem unfair to players that have good intentions. If that's you, please be patient; the system works this way to ensure an even split of colors for everyone.
Now, if you've actually found a bug with the way that Lichess assigns colors, the best way to expedite getting it fixed is by paying attention to when it happens and figuring out how to reproduce it.
