I had 1: 26 sconds on the clock, I was thinking on my move, my time wasn't even red, my clock was ticking down with OVER 30 seconds left, suddenly the game ended. up until right now (hours after the game) I though my opponent had resigned. but now I just realized the site has scored my loss!
again, I had over 30 seconds when this happened. I would not let my time run out like this. My last move, 35. Nd4 was made with the threat Nc6. I already knew what to play next, I was merely verifying it, the msg " white timed out" is false and occurred when I had plenty time!

Guess you had plenty of time but no connection?

@Cooperating we told you this before in this thread: https://lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/didnt-leave-the-game?page=1
and now again
What happened is you got disconnected from lichess and did not notice or get told by your browser. Which made your opponents clock tick down to 0 and make it seem that you won but when you exit or reload the page or click to analyse you get reconnected and see that you lost because you never got your opponents move.
you can help it by refreshing every 30 seconds during your opponents turn.

@for_cryingout_loud u have misunderstood this post. My opponent didn't get to zero, it's not even his turn.

@Cedur216 " white timed out" not " white left"

When you disconnect from a game, your opponent has the option to claim a win or draw and it displays 'X left, result'
he can also wait the remaining time and when it reaches 0, it displays white lost on time.

@KenulL_76 but the game ended while we had not reached that point. I was actively thinking on Nc6, with about a minute left.

Thats the problem. Sometimes when you get disconnected, it shows that your opponent's clock is running when in reality your own is. I refresh the page every time a suspicious amount of time passes to avoid this.

Wait, did you just say top couple of hours, bro? That’s why because you left for too long.
