Why did they replace "This player uses chess computer assistance"?

The user of this account violated the Lichess Terms of Service with it? This is far more confusing. Computer assistance is more short, sweet, and to the point. There are tons of TOS violations, like chatbans, account closures, and reportbans.

Could be related to protect the data of the users. You Don't need to know why somehow is banned. So in the EU it could be not allowed to tell you something about a user that you don't Need to know.

@royalblue04 A lot of people do. Club owners, players who lost to the cheaters, tournaments, etc. Those marked as a cheat need the computer mark. That way, club owners can kick them out and people can stay away from them. This new mark is confusing and stupid. This is a terrible change. If people cheat, they need the computer mark. That way, people can know why they cheated.

Probably safer for everyone. It’s more difficult to go to court.

It could be a legal issue throughout the EU. If it makes any sense is another question. But if i were responsible for Lichess i would not tell more then is needed about a user. Could cost money for nothing.

@SteveMulchCivic Eh? Lichess doesn't owe anything to "club owners". If you run a club you do your own management/checks.. This is simplifying things. I don't care why people are marked; cheating, sandbagging etc etc. They're kept away from me. That's all I need to know; nobody's going to want to start hovering over people's profiles before a game and go "hmm..they've broken rule 13 and 17 but not 8 so we're good to go".

Is it illegal? Lichess reserves the right to ban or mark anyone at their discretion. We accepted the TOS when we signed up.

What is the reason of that change? Chess.com shows Closed: Fair play. THere are no lawsuits.

Maybe make it say: This player violated the Fair Play policy. And this players violated the Community guidelines. for chatbans/reportbans.
