Hi,

Since a few updates some weeks ago (sorry, I barely use the app on my phone), I got logged out from lichess. There is no option to log in anywhere. I searched the starting page, the left side menu and even the settings menu. I even looked on YouTube "how to log in to lichess" and I found a video that showed me that it seems the login button should be at the top left. There I only see the text "offline". I can't click on it. I can play anonymously online so I'm not really offline.

Where is the log in hidden in the app?

P.S.: I reinstalled the app, lost all the settings but still no possibility to log in.

Are there any plans to bring back the log in to the app?

Whether or not anyone is still working on the old app is unknown to me. The new app might be so close to ready that no one will bother.

It’s too soon to have a roadmap, but we will certainly have one in the future and give an update. It’s hard to estimate a release date, but I hope to have a first release of the new app out in the first half of 2023.

Of course, as a software engineer myself, I know the value of such guesstimates.

Ah, so there is a completely new app in the works. Sounds good, but still would be hard to not be able to log in anymore until the new app gets released...
