How lichess detects multiple accounts in lichess? Recently one of my friend's account got closed because lichess said that he had multiple accounts. But the actual fact is, his teacher who is also my teacher made that account and both the accounts(my teacher's account and my friend's account) are closed now. So now, how do i explain lichess that the multiple accounts were not for testing or bersrking. But they were to be donated to the students. As my friend was U-18 years so he did not make a google account and my teacher made for him. Now these are the things my friend told me to write in lichess forum and ask!!

I mean the same IP hat a random point in time is a strong indicator.

Lichess doesn't go into details about those things for obvious reasons. They should just go to lichess.org/appeal and explain the situation. If it's actually just as they say, the accounts will get reopened. But since accounts generally don't get closed for simple multi-accounting, I suspect there's probably more going on.
