changing tabs while playing a game

actually its a doubt...

  1. i know that if you start a chess game on the lichess and shift your screen/desktop to different tab different from lichess for eg going to youtube , you get ban as it is consider cheating right?(even though you have no intention to cheat or you don't cheat)

2)i wanna know if we leave a game for a second , just like above example but we went to "lichess inbox to msg" or any other thing on "lichess only" and not going away from lichess tab and returning to chess game after messaging.... will it also result in banning?

I don't know where you heard that, but that's wrong. You can switch tabs, switch windows, close your browser, toss your computer out a window, and do whatever you like, and as long as you're not cheating, it won't be considered cheating. Of course if you disconnect you may forfeit the game and may temporarily be banned if you do this a lot, but it still isn't cheating. Switching tabs or windows shouldn't disconnect from Lichess (maybe it does for some browsers though, I'm not sure).

No.

ive switched tabs while playing before, so long as you dont take a sneak peak at an engine, ur allowed to do whatever you want, ive switched between lichess and wikipedia before, i had something open before and i was lagging and glitching

You cannot peak at anything that will help, whether an engine or a chessable course or written notes etc.

Someone playing a slower time control and working at the same time may occasionally want to move to their "work" window whilst playing, or if the boss suddenly walks by.. (that was more of a problem before we all started working from home)

I've also found that browsers can do strange stuff just because I'm trying to draw lines on the board.

Having it start an arena game for me when I've clearly browsed away, i.e. I'm not in the lobby, is not good though.

Sounds weird (if I understand correctly). Could it be possibly related to the "mouse gestures" feature?
