I am working on Mieses gambit vs scandinavian defense. aka leonhardt gambit.

In this game I used it but lost badly

I open in another tab and click "request computer analysis" so I can review it later to see where I went wrong, and then rematch opp
Then I found some improvements and was able to win (still many blunders toward end though :)

The third game I am repeating again the slight improvement

Suddenly in that game it says bam, cheat detected, and instant forfeit. Huh? Only at move 8! We are still in theory even. What the heck?

You can not run analysis in background while you play in other tab, or something? What happened, did I do something wrong?

If you want to perform background background analysis use a mobile or tablet or another computer connected simultaneously as an anonymous user.

By opening multiple multiple tabs you're "losing focus" while you're playing.

"Cheat detected" means it found an engine running on the machine, and may have encountered the position you were currently in but not sure if it even needed do.

Having your account marked is more of an indication that you actually played computer moves.

I don't like the suggestion to use a different computer or mobile device to analyse games whilst you are playing them,... Analyse them after you have finished, remember the better lines for the next game, but in your head. If you're trying out a new opening it's good to know where you went wrong in it, and improve it next time, but you have to do that between games.

Remember you can do "request computer analysis" for a game just after you have completed it. No need to feed moves into a different tab.

#5 Yes, that's the right honest way to proceed. After all, if you make computer engine moves u'll be detected.

But the reason to open it in another tab is so that you can continue a rematch with opponent immediately. The analysis takes some time so it's handy to leave it to run in the background and check it later. I'm not saying to check it during the new game, but have it there to review later on. I don't understand why that could be called cheating...

The site probably detected an engine + it was the site’s engine so probably thought you hacked the site or something

You are running an engine in the same position that you are playing, although as for "why" that's considered cheating... if the forums are to believed, we enjoy penalizing players for no reason.

There's that word again. Do you often use words you don't understand? Why would anyone suspect hacking if a chess engine was used?
