If someone can explain to me why it would be better then I maybe can understand it. But as the others say too, I was really satisfied with 15+15 as classic. When I use rapid now I would need to rise in rating first to match similar opponents....
Just create a custom 15+15 game it will only take you less than 3 seconds case closed
30+0 is now going to be the 'default' / most played classical time control. To be honest: I think that really sucks. I love having an increment on classical games.

3 seconds... lol. I'm rated 2184, and I set my search settings to only accept 2100+. I assure you: that's quite a lot more than 3 seconds.

It will be a lot harder to match up 15:15 games now, and it's the ideal time frame for me:
30-0 can be too long, and I hate playing knowing this is all the time I get and there's no increment if I get low on time, and 30-20 is just extremely too much.

I don't agree, I'm happy with the new controls as 15+15 just feels like a rapid game to me.
