So I think Lichess Inbox should be letting users to send their images, or files in Lichess inbox it's much easier for them because now users only can send image link which is not really convenient since they need to click into that link and sometimes the link would be dangerous. This feature could be used in forum post too. If so there should be adding some rules like not sending inappropriate contents. So that's my idea. (I am not sure if there were users who suggested the similar idea with me in forum too.)

Don't see this happening here. Moderation efforts would be too demanding and besides this is a chess website and not a communication platform, like idk discord.

Another reason that a file attachment feature has been discarded in the past is due to the resources needed to host files on servers and it would enable the ability to share copywritten content (such as pdf chess books).

I can send files.
#1 This topic has been brought up before. First, it'll put great load on the servers. Second, difficult for moderation. Third, possibility or sharing malicious files, or pirating.
