Your opponent left the game... Cheaters?

I've been playing with some users that leave the game several times and make a move immediately after they come back, so clearly they're using some engine... Is Lichess still able to catch cheaters?

Seems like there could be other explanations other than cheating.

if they wait until it's their move and then go offline for 30 seconds it's possible, but not guaranteed, they entered the position into an engine. If it's your move and they go offline they are probable just reading reddit or something while they are waiting for you to move.

assuming the first, make a note of the move number, then analyze the game and see if they played and engine move. If they did report them. If they only use the engine a few times a game it will take a long time for them to be caught though. And if they get caught and flagged, they will create a new account. It's out of your control so try not to let it bother you. Play the best you can and if you lose, c'est la vie
