The biggest problem with OTB play is there is no premove. I mean seriously no premove??!?

In online games, we are paired against players of the same strength, with only some differences. In OTB you might get paired against an unrated or even 2000 depending upon the tournament points. Also, OTB is pretty different from online...

The feel for the game and the pieces is different over the board. Translating patterns from online to over the board only comes with practice. Personally I find a well-played OTB game more satisfying than a great online game.

It sounds stupid but I found that it can be hard to visualise the position OTB if 99% of your games are online. I expect that this would disappear if I played OTB more often.

I played OTB tournaments several years ago. Everyone is strong there, even a player without rating. I haven't scored a single point in 2 tournaments :D
