Only provisional rating numbers are usually followed by a question mark, if not many games are played. Since I have solved over 8000 puzzles, I am puzzled why my puzzle rating is still provisional...
It is because you haven't solved many puzzles recently. Think of each puzzle as a game. The more games you play, the faster you can get the question mark off.
I find this irritating no matter how many puzzles i do it keeps putting a question mark
