I stopped playing Rapid after hitting 2000. I know it doesn't mean anything. I know that Rapid ratings are pretty swingy. It's completely silly, but it's a goal I set for myself and once I hit it, I was done with the mode (for now).
That is because people who want to improve, aim for a specific number.
They dont say, gee, i want to increase my rating to 1837. They say, ima get 1850, or 1900.
And then they reach their marks and hover a bit above or below.
they just stop playing when they reach a milestone ez
