I find it so strange that opening recorded history is called "theory" and is opposed to lines that are ideas based, or features based valid through many variations. I would have thought one to be experimental data and the other to be the "theory". This is not going to change, but reading that often keeps ringing some dissonance, and I can't help but voice my opinion....
