What's wrong with 1. e4 e5 ?

@pawnmulch you can find a lot of AI versus AI games on Youtube by searching the names of AIs. You can also look up the notable games from Top Chess Engine Championship leagues. Sorry to disappoint you but they usually play the already established openings like Sicillian so nothing crazy like 1.h4 or 1.Na3.

But they also introduce novelties and new ideas in these established openings their influence on pro chess is already noticeable.

@Kaustubh_000 dude don't go by what the engine says it is at a totally different level man even magnus carlsen cant understand what stockfish does some times . i mean if stockfish has refuted 1.e4 e5 in a 64 move long variation were two GMs would still draw that position then that is not exactly a refutations for humans to use . so what i conclude is that don't go by engine evaluation until you are in the top 100 of the world and even then it is not always useful

Black starts the game behind white's initiative. Even with best play, it usually takes a handful of moves for black to equalize and gain a technical advantage.
