I have no idea of what opening to play. But I want to play the sicilian?
Every Sicilian line is positional. I recommed you the O'Kelly variation. The Sicilian Kan is very positional too. Basically those two are very similar. The Najdorf is very good too, but many know it well.
I don't know much about the Sicilian defences, but I'm in love with the O'Kelly Sicilian (low theory and very easy to play).
But don't listen to me. Search on youtube: "Easiest Sicilian to start playing" by GM Molton. I will just say it's incredible!
The Sicilian Kan, Sveshnikov, O Kelly can get positional.
There are some variations that can be solid and positional.
But to be honest, you need general positional understanding of the opening to play that middlegame or any middlegame for that matter.
The Siclian ain't no solid and positional opening in general, there are some variations that are but most of them are really dynamic, sharp and can get really complicated with a lot of tactics involved.
most positional can be o kelly but most aggressiveis definitely the accelerated dragon.
