very interesting.
1606, which I think is quite accurate. It's within 100 points of my lichess rating, though I've never been able to crack 1600 on here. I had heard that lichess ratings were higher than Elo ratings but this suggests this is not the case. I haven't played Elo rated players in years but 1600 makes sense based on my long ago performance as well.
@tgf Lichess is definitely inflated compared to ratings from national or international federations. I'm over 2,000 on Lichess and my United States Chess Federation rating is 1610 currently. Online tests are never going to be that accurate because puzzles don't translate to complete chess play. You'll only know your true strength by playing complete games against your peers and seeing how you measure up to them- Online or over the board. Now, some people over the years have tried to use Online ratings to derive an estimated hypothetical over the board rating but it's just that- an estimate. Online and OTB play are two completely different things as your environment is totally different and people react differently to it, some for the better others for the worse. As many have said over the years if you want to know what your OTB rating would be you'll have to go play some OTB games and find out! :)
I agree mostly with jg777.
I havent played in otb in years, but I can say with 75%+ certainty
that my cfc would be around 1650 and fide around 1700.
cfc is usually close to uscf.

I get around 1950-2000 on lichess.
I forget what I got on this test but it was 1770 or something and thats too high.
I wonder if it depends on what rating range you're in. Maybe lichess ratings are higher above a certain threshold but not for say 1600 and somewhat lower.

Another possibility is that due to psychological factors some people play significantly worse in otb rated games/tournaments while for others otb and online are about equivalent from a psychological standpoint.

From what I've seen near 1600 players on lichess play roughly at a level comparable to what I would expect from similarly rated otb players (though my data on that is way out of date).
@jg777 Actually I think an online test that looks at what move you make in many realistic positions, data from lots of people and a machine learning algorithm might very well come up with quite a reasonable estimate of your playing ability. It would be interesting to see if they have published any results.

Of course in individual cases there could be lots of reasons the results might not match up well with actual ratings, from misunderstanding the test (for example always looking for combinations/clever moves when there may not be any) to showing lower performance in otb play due to stress factors. But I suspect that over a large population these effects would mostly average out.
ths site given to do the test doesn't mean anything, or maybe for a range of players ok, but I made the test quicklly in 5 minutes for all 76 questions, and I made 2333.
This site juste estimate the tactics skill, not the level of a player.
I can be good in tactic and very poor in strategy, theory, etc ... and this is why I have 300 points under my tactic level
