What stupid rules Lichess uses regarding draws on timeout

it is not a win on USCF rules. Actually USCF rules require more material than FIDE where assisted mate suffices. There is no rule set where you can win without material. For obvious reasons to all but OP.

Who correctly points out that the opponent’s flag has fallen first, at any time before the game is otherwise
ended, provided the player has mating material. Mating Material consists of (at a minimum) two minor
pieces, a pawn, a rook, or a queen provided it isn’t a position where one could claim a draw under rule 8. If
a player who claims a time forfeit states the claim with claimant’s flag still up, but then fails to stop the
clock in time to avoid also exceeding the time limit, the claim will be void, unless the flag fall was
observed by a director or independent witness.

Indeed, even the current USCF rule requires mating material (rather than requiring ILC to be claimed prior to flag fall) although USCF's non-exclusive partner Chess.com fails to implement this rule (although rules for online play may differ from OTB rules).

i dont say it actually you will say it if this happens to you

if fide rule changes

after one month of rule changing:
@JesusIsLord906 said hey i got timed out and lost the game but it was mate in 1 this is unfair i should win if i run out of time because i was winning this rule of lichess is stupid

after 2 years
hey i lost 15 rating after losing to 1000
and i got only 2 rating after winning to 1000 this is unfair
reason: you are higher rated than 1000 and you should be lucky that u lost only 15 points

You clearly are trolling, I have said time and again if the clock runs out you lose PERIOD!

You know? How most new chess players would assume chess is, considering when the clock runs dry that person loses?
At least that is what they would assume until they run into this silly ONLY if you have mating material rule!

The logical and consistent answer: If clocks dies, you die.

Pro tip: Please do not assume to know what I would say/do/believe, especially when in this case it is 100% wrong as I've stated many times

Be blessed!

The rules aren't obvious at all, from observation every time their clock ran out I won, except for the few times I had only my King left, thus the rule is inconsistent!

If you think that's bad, you should have seen older versions of the USCF rules! Progress is gradual and eventually we'll realize just how useful FIDE rules are for encouraging players to study endgames, manage time (not depend upon "dirty flags"), and play with time controls which make sense instead of torturing the game rules to conform to the will of a clock.

It is consistent with intent of game which is check mating the king. Anyway that rule will not ever change. and in particular not via rants in forums

You have no idea what will or won't change.

@corvusmellori
Stockfish is made for analysis of standard games. Analysis includes study though (I reckon!)
Anyways, I just wanna know from where (source) do you use SF for analysis. I would love to do in depth analysis for positions personally.

I just wrote down four good reasons, but I better just keep it simple for you... ( I removed them, just went with the simplest single explanation )

I gave you a pro trip regarding me, not Chess.

It's probably best you end it here.

Be blessed and have a great day!
