Legal's mate actually happened to on of my opponents in a tournament when I started out in chess. Beginners are more likely to play d6 as a defense against the italian game.

A lot of london system traps here. This puts a smile on my face:)
This one is probably silly, but I'm proud of it because it was the first time ever I had my own sneaky little idea in chess. So, out of nostalgia, black against Evans:
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Bc5 4. b4 Nxb4!? and now if 5. Nxe5?? Qf6 is winning 6. d4 doesn't work because after Bxd4 Qxd4 there is a big fork on c2
