I just turned 14 and i'm rated around 1500.I'm not sure if this is normal for my age or what but do you guys have any reference as to what the average 14 year old would be rated?
With computer assistance or without it?
I dont use computer assistance in my games.
My 12-year-old is currently playing around 1900-2000. My 9-year-old is playing at 1500-1600. It depends, everyone is different. Some learn early, some learn late. Age is no barrier to learning.

I myself have been playing for a few months, and have made it to 950 or so in blitz (still fluctuating) and am in my early/mid teens. Haven't played very seriously until now though; I find that age is almost irrelevant in chess.
