What is performance ?

When you play a tournament, when it finishes, you can click on your result to see statistics about your play in that tournament.

What exactly is performance? ( I translated it from Dutch I, read it as : prestatie)

When you win a game, your performance for that game is 400 points higher than your opponent's rating
When you lose a game, your performance for that game is 400 points lower than your opponent's rating

Your tournament performance is the average of all of the game performances.

But, @Tae7 Most of the times when we win first game till we lose, The perfomance is decreased by 400 points.
So with me when I win First game, The perfomance is increased by 2000+ points.
And if I lose the first match, Perfomance is decreased by -798 points.
Id a draw happens on the first game, then the perfomance is 1590.

After the tournament, My perfomance is greater than 2000.

Are you sure? 2000 + any of your standard rating = 3000+

I’ve never seen anyone’s performance rating go above 3000 before.

So, I guess that means that when your performance is higher than your rating, you dit good. When it’s lower than your rating you’ve had a rough day?

it doest have to mean you played bad
it can also mean everyone else in the tournament was very low rated so you got less performence after winning
