Not much. What's lag switching with you?

Its when normal users 'pretend' to be from a very laggy area so they can benefit from the lichess lag compensation. This is normally done by using a VPN and by switching it on and off. Please don't use this its cheating

Sorry, I'm a little slow. What is the benefit they are getting?

Lichess lag compensation gives additional time depending on the time control. In time scrabbles especially in ultrabullet/bullet and blitz +1 second for every move makes them almost impossible to beat. The lag compensation is intended for people playing from small, undeveloped countries to help them improve, but many people abuse it.

Sounds like a not very good system, but I also get why they'd want to have Lichess be accessible to everyone. Thanks for explaining.
