What do you think is the most complex opening or variation there is?

I think a pawn on either end of the board makes a small-1step square move. Forces opponent to move forward in general in terms of strategies and then we would have a 1 move ahead in advantage to understand the opponent's move and any potential vulnerabilities

The Botvinnik variation of the Slav would be my choice.
