Visualization Exercises/Tips?

<Comment deleted by user>

The Visualise series by Benedictine on Chessable is really excellent. The first course costs around $10 but you can use it over and over again. It gives you a middlegame position and asks you to visualize several moves in your head, starting with two moves in the first chapter and working up to seven, and then you have to see the tactic at the end, which is always very simple so that you're really working on visualization and not tactics.

It may be blithe, but practice visualization. I'm a visual person so I actually see the variation sequences when I run each sequentially. My mentality is to see where i'm strongest and weakest as well as my opponent, then see what move would further that position, though that can lead you to be blind to other possibilities. I started in OTB so i'd start practicing positions and continue from there, even if you only used a daily puzzle and a magnetic pocket set. Your brain will follow from there.

@Natethegreat12.
I think meditation and just being very mentally healthy helps a lot.
When I feel good I calculate and Visualize well.
When I have a big headache or something I calculate and Visualize poorly.
I think drinking a lot of water meditating and taking daily walks helps a LOT with staying mentally healthy.
And having fun helps too so if you aren't having fun then quit chess for a while and you will probably regain interest and enjoyment.
I hope this helps;)

Start with a knight: from a square it must reach another square.
Then put a queen in the middle of the chess board: knight must avoid queen to get that square.Then do same with bishop and pawns etc. Basic blindfold mates(with few pieces first) can help.
Blindfold games are tough,first you need some blindfold exercises.
