Uses of bot

I just created my bot today. I wanted to know how can I use my bot. Is it used in the same way as I use my normal account? If yes, then what is the fun of having a bot?

When you have made your bot, you just have to keep the tab in which you have signed in to your lichess bot account on and the bot will accept challenges and play games with other users.

Hope that helps :)

But that BOT is not accepting challenges

@Master_no1 Did you challenge my bot?
It was me who accepted it but I later aborted the game because I thought that before playing any game, i should post this forum.

My bot is not automatic. I was playing instead of my bot, when @Master_no1 challenged me.

I had a thought, how do bots get there rating? I guess when the provisional rating of bots end, only then they start playing automatically. Am I right?

@MohammadAayanKhan How did you make your bot? If you have made it using the official python lichess-bot v1.1.5 available on github.com or https://easychess.herokuapp.com ,your bot will accept challenges but if you have made it using custom "homemade" code, you may have missed the code needed for accepting challenges.
And @DeadlyKillerInstinct Bots are automatic but you have to make or follow the right code or procedures in order to make them automatic.
Hope I helped you.
