Ultrabullet may seem like a fun time control, and I see why lichess added this. 15 seconds on the clock, people constantly trying to flag each other, why not you know? Then lichess probably thought, "Won't people with bad connection have a disadvantage?", so they added lag comp to make ultra fair. This was probably a big mistake, even though it did seem fair. They probably didn't anticipate what was going to happen next....
Shortly after Ultra came out, a chrome extension called "Lichess Keyboard Input" came out (a.k.a kb). To be honest, I think this is fair, but there's a whole lot of people thinking this isn't. Since this was a problem, I think Lichess should have removed it, even though I think its fair. There's just far too many arguments about this. Welp, lichess didn't remove it, and lichess probably never will. That made Andrew tang (@penguingim1) to quit ultrabullet! And this wasn't the only problem, lag comp went wayyyy to far and even more people quit because of lag (including myself).
There's also way to much blocking happening right now, blocking cause kb, blocking cause lag, blocking cause running, etc. People also rage way too often cause of tilt.
Oh, and also do you know how many alt accounts are made each day? Too many to count!
Ultrabullet just seems broken, and not fun at all right now, like lichess should just delete it right now. I know it seems dumb, but just think about it. Let me know your opinions in the comments
people must play at their risk bad connection is such a risk . if u say of kb it is not illegal but its a glimpse of bad sportsman spirit .
its your wish a guy can enjoy classical another guy can enjoy ultra so lichess thinks of all and added we can play anything we want its our choice.
Easy to summarize:
1.- Ultra bullet (and hyper bullet) is not chess, it's a video game.
2.- KB is a cheat, and people who use it are cheaters. KB players have multiple pre-moves enabled, the rest, just one.
3.- Players with a high latency should be not allowed to play fast paces. They've got a clear advantage over the ones that have a good IC.
4.- Lichess doesn't have an anti-cheating system. People here are free to cheat with KB, using bots, or both.
5.- Online chess is a kind of jungle. It's a pity, and sad, and discouraging, because the idea is excellent, but human beings are always trying to cheat, to lie, to deceive, and to scam others, no matter the level at which they're involved.
6.- There are no better options than Lichess out there, the issues are exactly the same.
I dont understand why BerserkAsIfUWereMad in one thread wrote this article. Argument :kb is not fair cuz it doesnt require any skill and in the endgame in time pressure you can just spam random king moves and flag a mouse player. Fact: It is fair cuz you use your brain and it is normal input like everything mouse, touchscreen etc... BerserkAsIfUWereMad should admit his mistakes xDDD in 2018 he was banned for harsh trolling because he was flexing in forums to play while playing back and forth for example Ra1 Ra2. When i was on account bejk111 i was 12 years old. He wrote me on the discord everytime hey man lets play a zerk arena and you dont have to zerk. I defeated him by a decent margin but it was great material for him to flex. I was a happy crazy energetic person as i am today and when i was winning i was dancing yes yes yes i can run away. But now i realized he was flexing. And he also created two input methods to flex even more. His forum threads were like 3 or like 4 idk But the flexing was just insane.
As a kb lover i have to say kb is unfair and disgusting and i wish that it will be like it was in 2017 golden times no kb no help no assistence. Well it is true Andrew and Dingo123 created arenas to flex and i was happily participating in them and the chat between andrew and dingo was a bit crazy... Well Andrew is older and more normal and more cooled down but i still dont like him his behaviour and everything... John Bartholomew is the best and forever will be :)
