Too many chess books?

Does anyone have the same problem as i do?just having too many books and by having them i just cant remember all those ideas and rules and whatnot...
I got them all. But reading isn't enough - you need tons of practise to back up.
I also have to many chess books, but I do not read em. Just looking nice on the book shelf.
You must collect and read them - David Bronstein
Sounds like ADD.
Go see your doctor. He'll give you something to fix you up.
Maybe skills is more important than knowledge.
You can try to "work through" the books more, solving the exercices, trying to calculate more lines.

But if the author is a capable writer and tells cool side-stories it can be very tempting to just skim through the chess part..
if you can't remember what's in the book, you can make summaries after your read them and leave them in the book.

Then, you can read your short summaries later to refresh your memory and let you know what info is inside.

Plus, the writing may help you to really imprint the knowledge into your head a little deeper.
