i play shogi, so i thought i should learn chess to compare. i learned chess rules in summer 2017. read some stuff on wikipedia about openings. chess opening theory focuses too much on move sequences instead of structures built by the moves. i don't know anything about chess endgames. they are completely different from shogi endgames. i'm working on getting my first 100 losses.
