Decades ago GM Julian Hodgson would play 1.d4 d5 2.Bg5 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hodgson_Attack And (edit) in the Trompovsky (1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5) which Julian also played as white, if I remember correctly if black would play 2..Ne4 then respond with 3.h4!? which at the time I thought was pretty interesting.
Your 2...h5 suggestion looks interesting to be tested in practice on Lichess.
