Tempest - New Chess Clock

Anyone have this? I just ordered one and can't wait. It's an interesting hybrid of digital and physical interface. Looks like it uses the smarts in your phone but not one of those lousy touch screen chess clock apps (i hate those... i like a real physical clock and this seems to be the best of both worlds!) Any one here tried one? I just ordered it and will report back whenever i can. It looks amazing next to those wooden sets in the video. Let me know if you've seen one in person, how well it works in bullet for example?

legal at the club i play at yes. legal at the pubs i play at yes. legal in a USCF tournament? i don't no. probably not? but on the other hand, isn't that the SAFEST PLACE for a players cell phone? in airplane mode, and in plain sight of the TD and opponent? how could you possibly cheat in that case... i mean you can't take THAT with you to the bathroom un-noticed. i bet UCSF won't allow it, but in some ways its safer on the table in airplane mode than in my opponents sock or backpack that's for sure. anyway, great for casual chess. we'll see about UCSF.

for me, i couldn't count but would guess 50,000 games played to date and less than 100 in a tournament setting (half of those using my own clock half not) so 50/50000 is about oh, 0.001 so im not bothered about whether USCF will allow it myself. Maybe tournament players don't get it. But i can't wait for mine. I wonder if this is just a prototype- or will they make it available in hardwood too? this looks dope: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTLSSPOlqYA
