Stalling in lost position

This problem is getting worse and worse, it's like an epidemia and it happens especially in BL and similar leagues and in particular in longer blitz and rapid time controls. Some people are ready to stall for 5 minutes once they realise they are completely lost. It's a shocking lack of sportsmanship and it's no profit for them it's just to ruin your mood as much as possible as a punishment for outplaying them. I know people say report these players but i'm sick and tired of having to do that I'm here to play chess not to write reports. Lichess should automatically detected people who starts to stall forever in completely lost positions and ban them.

One could write a script to detect this, run it across the lichess games database, and post a shame list of the top offenders, sorted by Rating (from top to bottom)

edit: user shaming is against lichess TOS so don't post it here if you do that

Recency bias.

how long are these games? if long (like 15+10 to 30+20) then they may just be thinking, else theyre definitely in the wrong

The rules are the rules. How can one player put a restriction on how long another should take. If it bothers you consider playing a game with a shorter time frame. I often play 14+30 classical. My opponents often say that I am taking too long. Did you not notice the time structure when you began the game? The same for 8+25 rapid.

You are right, @Dantes-Edmond. But still, there are situations where it is completely clear the opponent is NOT thinking if there is a mate in 1 or the queen skewed.
But I don't know what the purpose of this thread is, @Katoh1. It is like it is.

That's of course true, sometimes it's just very obvious there nothing to think about.
I guess the purpose of this thread is to bring attention to the problem and to find a solution. I fear the situation is only gonna get worse.
