Duh. How else could I have won?

Back in the days of Crafty being used for the computer on this site I was able to beat level 8 without using computer assistance. Nowadays I rarely dare myself to play past level 5 since thibault installed Stockfish here, which I have also beaten.

Amended. I'm not home right now, so I'm just queuing myself up to analyze those later. :D

You should concentrate on the board and not on the spectators. Overall this is a game. And one must allow to see each others games. In that way they can learn, improve and enjoy the games. This is the real thrill. And don't be so much confused, spectators just watch your game rather than they make any noise or any activity by which you could be disturbed. And the last thing is that many a time mod or admin just watches your game as an anonymous to detect cheat if any.

#16, that completely disregards the psychological pressure some people feel. The course of action recommended by #5 seems to be the consensus here, and with good reason too.
